Sweet Mystery

I just finished a book by Judith Hillman Paterson called Sweet Mystery: A Book of Remembering. Harper Lee says the book is "A remarkable work...Tender, excruciating, compelling" and I would most definately agree with her. It includes her family history which is mostly concerned with Montgomery, Alabama and her upbringing in the area. One reviewer recommended that it be put on the shelf next to Memories of a Catholic Girlhood by Mary McCarthy and frank Conroy's Stop Time. I haven't read those but I can say that the book was wonderful.
