Much thanks to the RoP Recommended Reading List!! I just finished the first Amelia Peabody mystery (Crocodile on the Sandbank) from the series by Elizabeth Peters. I absolutely loved it--a good mystery, a strong heroine, wit, romance, archaeology, Egyptian setting--too delicious to resist. And the roaring Emerson makes Darcy look like a kitten. I've already started on the next one.:o)
