Thank you all so much for your fascinating responses so far.
I just wanted to respond to this one e-mail because I often think that if I could have a one-to-one with ANYONE who is now gone, it would be JA. I would so very much love to have known her. I wonder what she would think of our modern way of life ; the incessant hurrying, the lack of etiquette (!) and the pollution.
