In response to New JAne Austen Book, written by BarbaraK on August 07, 1998 at 11:31:31
] I was going through some of my mother's books in a huge summer cleaning effort in our house and saw a book that picqued my intrest! It was written in 1996 by a Stephanie Barron and it is a murder mystery, but the best part is that it is set up to be as if JA wrote it! It is titled "Jane and the Unplesantness at Scargrave Manor" It is an extremly good book and I highly recomend it!
] By the way has anyone else, besides myslef, read it? If so did you enjoy it?

Just the other day, I got a note from the author of the Jane Austen mysteries. She writes:
I appreciate the kind comments of your reviewers. The fourth
Jane book--Jane and the Genius of the Place--is due out in January. Cheers!
Francine Mathews, a.k.a. Stephanie BarronJane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor is on top of my "to read" pile so I should soon understand what you all are raving about. Looking forward to it.
