Back to the Library ] ] She uses sound much less often. Occasionally she mentions the sound of carriage wheels, or the tone of someone's voice, but it is never really critical to the story, it's just a perfect, minimal embellishment.

It is certainly noisy, what with her brothers banging doors, and everybody talking in a loud voice, and the children playing and running all over the house. Fanny is not the only one to get a headache! ;-)
