and I quite like it. I liked PCP a lot, the dialogues were amazing... and some characteres were quite an interesting study... like Marjorie (hope I have the right name) the one who is a Catholic divorcee and cannot be happy with her boyfriend because of her priniciples and cannot be happy without him because of her love.
The other books in the list that I have read are: Brave New World, To the Lighthouse, Animal Farm, Howard's End, The Maltese Falcon, The Catcher in the Rye, A Room With a View and Lord Jim. As I said, I am not sure about Kim.
As regards Salinger, I like his Glass stories better, specially Light up the top roof bean (or something like that) and Franny and Zooey (sp?). An in relation to Conrad, I think The Duel should have been included also. The Maltese Falcon is not a great thing.
Have you any of you read the Clockwork Orange? I saw the film and found it disgusting... I tried the book afterwards and could only stomach the first two or three pages....
So, which are your books in the list?
