] I was wondering about the book "Lolita". With all the controversy about the movie adaptation in America, I'm getting kind of curious about the book it was based on. Has anyone here read it, and if so, would it be all right for a 15 year old to read?
Then again, I read Lolita when I was thirteen and found it fascinating and ... gross. In last week's Salon magazine (www.salonmagazine.com) one writer tell of having read it at twelve and identifying completly with icky old Humbert. You mihgt want to check out the article to get another pov.
