I second that opinion

I also think it's brilliant, but I suspect Nabokov's style would be a bit much at age 15 (it's a bit much for me at age 27--why didn't someone stop him from resurrecting all those archaic words?! Someone once said "Nabokov didn't learn English so much as OVER-learn it.") Many of the things that I loved about the novel I would not have appreciated at a younger age. Actually, I think War and Peace would be a much easier read for a teenager--it's got that great soap opera plot, all those battle scenes; it's a lot like a mini-series. Despite the length, I'd recommend it to any teenager who loves literature (and anyone lurking about this board certainly meets that description!)
