of the list going on at the New York Times site.... fascinating how these lists stir people up. The major complaints seem to be
1. no Gravity's Rainbow (Pynchon)
2. no Toni Morrison
3. no Alice Walker
4. no To Kill a Mocking Bird
There is also quite a lot of discussion about whether Ulysses is actually readable or not!
