] what is the plot of this novel?

From what I remember about this book (and it is a little while since I read it!) it is a story about family life and how the members of the family fit together or don't fit together. It is written humourously and explores themes of family life that could be familiar to us. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone. For more details about it see the recommended reading page.

Kate: If you enjoyed this one you should try her other book, "Human Croquet". It's written in much the same style but used a lot more imagery. I really enjoyed it.
