I just reread NA for the first time in years, and I found it quite charming---I suprised myself, because when I first read it years ago it didn't stand a chance next to my favorite novels (but my taste was worse then, not even Emma stood a chance then next to my favorites). Henry Tilney has great potential---he's certainly the Austen hero with the best sense of humor, so rather appealing to a modern sensibility.
