I think exactly the same. Oh, Scarlett's alright, you have to admire her determination, but Melanie's always been my most favourite character. She's able to maintain her sweetness of character whilst surviving the War and Reconstruction Eras. I thought it was so poignantly touching the way the book refers to her and those "soft-spoken, steely-spined Ladies of the South" Sigh . . . .
