] Have any of you ever read any of the works of the Bronte sisters?Did you like them? What is your favorite? Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Wuthering Heights by her sister Emily are my favorites.
I've read all the books by the Bronte sisters save for The Professor. Charlotte Bronte is undoubtedly the best of the three; personally, I liked Shirley and Villette even better than Jane Eyre. After those three would come The Tenant of Wildfell Hall (which has a great plot even if the narratives get rather long-winded and confusing) and Agnes Grey. Last would be Wuthering Heights, which was okay but not one of my favorite books to say the least. The Bronte sisters and Jane Austen were the authors of the first classic books I ever read, so I may credit them with getting me started! Their books are some of the best!
Just another note on classic books: I just read The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins, and plan to start The Moonstone shortly. I really liked The Woman in White. Anyone else have some opinions on his books?
