Jane Eyre (I prefer happy endings)
Wurthering Heights (I loved it, but quite oppressive). Actually I saw the film (starring Lawrence Olivier) and only read the second half of the book
The Professor (though I didn't quite likes her chauvinistic views about the poor Flemish and Belgians)
Villette (I don't know why but I tend to associate the professor what's-his-name with Hercule Poirot; I should review CB's description of him, perhas he does have an egg -shaped head)
Agnes Grey (I must admit that AG help me to do away with all my romantic notions about governess, my dear! what a disgraceful race pupils are!)Waiting in my bookshelves:
Shirley (I went as far as the second chapter three or four months ago and then decided to postpone it)
