I can't quite work Lord Osborne out. Is he very stupid or just inscrutable?
Jane has to go into the JA hall of villains - isn't she awful? She's a cross between Mrs Elton and Caroline Bingley, with a touch of Lucy Steele.
Ditto for Margaret. eeuuuwww.
I love the bit where Jane says that "one never wants cards among friends" and then says she and Margaret have played cribbage most nights they have not been engaged... a perfectly wonderful austenism.
And finally, who hasn't been in the position of Emma, when Margaret wants to tell her all about Tom Musgrave and she just doesn't want to know?
