Deceiving, contriving, subtle, artful, minx! She materially damages Edward (wilfully hurting Elinor in the process) and yet she manages to get a dedicated husband, all the money and and the affection of her mother-in-law love! ughh!
BTW, have you notice that - as far as villians go - JA's woman are spiteful and intelligent (in most cases) whereas her men are either reckless or dumb (that is their villany is the consequence of either or both).
