Thanks for the welcome and the illumination on that most important paragraph. I did enjoy the book very much. It had so many facets. Life in general, mystery, suspense, romance, and best of all... a young man not afraid to stand up against a tyranical domineering parent! A hero with backbone, and sensitivity; yea! (I have rented the movie today, so I will be watching it right after I finish up here - I can hardly wait!)

As far as teenage girls not being thrown out of boyfriend's homes because they are pennyless. I bet that still happens in high society. Fortune hunters/gold diggers are never looked upon favorably.
