Now i am at a co,plete loss since i cannot find the book in the library and I can't remember the name either. ] There is a fiction series (were you referring to fiction or non-fiction?) called The Russians. It contains six books at present set in the time period you mentioned. The books are:
] #1 The Crown and the Crucible
] #2 A House Divided
] #3 Travail and Triumph
] #4 Heirs of the Motherland
] #5 The Dawning of Deliverance
] #6 White Night, Red Morning
] The first three were co-authored by Michael Phillips and Judith Pella and to me seem to make up a complete trilogy. The next three continue the story and are written by Judith Pella only. They are excellent books; the first three are probably the best. The sixth one is almost their equal however, except it definitely involves more sadness and hardship.
