] I remember having seen a book in the library which was apparently part of a series (about five to six books) about Russia during the nineteenth to about twentieth century. Now i am at a co,plete loss since i cannot find the book in the library and I can't remember the name either. If anybody possibly thinks that they know the book I am talking about (sorry for the little information you have to go on) could you please tell me even if you think you might be wrong.
There is a fiction series (were you referring to fiction or non-fiction?) called The Russians. It contains six books at present set in the time period you mentioned. The books are:
#1 The Crown and the Crucible
#2 A House Divided
#3 Travail and Triumph
#4 Heirs of the Motherland
#5 The Dawning of Deliverance
#6 White Night, Red Morning
The first three were co-authored by Michael Phillips and Judith Pella and to me seem to make up a complete trilogy. The next three continue the story and are written by Judith Pella only. They are excellent books; the first three are probably the best. The sixth one is almost their equal however, except it definitely involves more sadness and hardship.I hope this helps!
