But Edmund, though the less favoured by custom, is his father's favourite; while Edward, though the heir in right, is certainly not his mother's darling one.
And Edward has to bear with his mother's unfair and unjust treatment regarding his inheritance. Actually it is the after- taste of unfairness it leaves in me that makes me not like SS as much as the other JA's novels. I feel like having a tantrum, stamping my foot on the floor and yelling to Mrs. Ferrars and Fanny's brother: it is not fair!!!!!!!
