] And how delightful! Austen's definitely poking fun at the gothic genre -- I got lots of little giggles from her tongue in cheek stuff throughout ... Catherine kind of reminded me of ... oh, dang, the name's gone out of my head -- (I disintegrate into unintelligiblity) the teenager who kept a diary and made mysteries out of nothing ... *Anyway*, somehow Austen made Catherine a very real, sympathetic character -- and I'm happy Henry came after her :)
] Is it just me, or was Henry Tilney speaking with Austen's voice a lot of the time? (ie, when he was waxing lyrical about the horrors Catherine would find at the Abbey). Great, wonderful read!
