Famed British novelist 'Catherine Cookson'

She died on June 11 at her home in Jesmond Dene. The author of 100 books that have sold 100 million copies in 18 different lanuages, as been bedridden most of the past 12 years and managed to keep writing. Her final novel will be published in 2000.
