I believe I implied that there were more similarities than I actually think there are. Louisa May Alcott is a very different kind of writer, and her writings are very different from JA's. I only wondered if a small part of these particular plots was inspired by JA. An Old-Fashioned Girl is certainly not like Mansfield Park in most of its characters and other respects.
