Bonny -- Jane Austen described a lot her pieces in the Juvenilia as "unfinished" in the dedications, but I doubt whether she had ever seriously thought or planned of trying to finish a lot of them.
The "Mystery" would actually get kind of monotonous if she had strictly adhered to the method of Act I over several acts...
