As far as I know (which is not much as regards actor's and actresses' lives) Emma Thompson left Kenneth Branagh for Greg Wise, and that was when she was filming S&S.
So we could have ET and KB play Lady Bertram and Sir John (????) and GW and HBC, Henry and Mary Crawford. Then, Wynonna (sp?) Ryder (I know she is American, but after all, Paltrow was Emma) or Kate Beckinsdale (sp?) Fanny, and Ben Chaplin as Edmund.
