OK, here's an issue that concerns me. Alberto accepts, almost without question, the Dead White European Male tradition of philosophy. Sophie occasionally challenges him on this, but it's not really explored.
Even if Gaardner/Alberto couldn't come up with any more female philosphers, I think it's a bit restrictive to look only at the Western philosophical tradition.
Thoughts, anyone?
