Oh, no, not Emma Thompson as Aunt Norris. She's far too young and attractive. Aunt Norris is a generation older than Fanny and Mary! (Besides Helena Bonham-Carter stole Emma Thompson's husband away - let's not rub salt in the wound by suggesting ET play someone old enough to be HBC's mother!) Same with Hugh Grant; ET just played his romantic lead in S&S; she can't be booted up to old ladydom yet.
What about the woman who played Charlotte in Room with a View? Now, she would be good Aunt Norris.
