Back to the Library ] Mr. and Mrs. John? Ferrars (anyway, Lucy and Edward's brother; they are well matched and happy together)

] Mr. and Mrs. Moorland

] Miss Tilney and her viscount

What of the Musgroves? The whole family seems to be happy except for Dick and Mary's husband Charles.

The marriages that interest me most are the marriages which while not extraordinarily happy, seem to be stable and good: The Philipses, the Middletons, the Harvilles, ect. The couples don't have the same level of friendship the couples in the extraordinary marriages display, yet the are solid and workman-like in contruction. Perhaps having a good marriage and a happy marriage don't always encompass one another.

Thoughts?
