Back to the LibraryI loved that last food...does the phrase "eating crow" mean anything to anyone but me?

Poor Sir Arthur....his wife answers for him all the time, he never says a word! And she won't let him eat anything! I do wonder what JA had in mind for the actions to go with script. WHat do you think is happening to Sir Arthur- when addressed, Does he open his mouth to speak, but never get a chance, or when addressed , does he just makes a weak, distasteful expression , and leaves his wife to explain?

I loved the bit about having the men on the ladies' laps- it would ahve been incredibly funny if Jane and family acted this out!

Also -poor Grandmother! being blamed for all the furniture!
