I think Constanza has it right. She doesn't say that her experience had led her to believe that all churches are meant to be quiet - she says that her READING had led her to to this belief about any building devoted to the act of worship.I had missed this entirely Constanza, and it is very funny. She is going to make an interesting clergyman's wife indeed! I wonder if Charles really knows what he's in for!
