Yes, in other novels she does seem to come down hard on feminism, and some might say that like JA her novels seem to preach the virtues of marriage for women. Certainly, Flora is no feminist.
I always thought she was using the "her" in those passages not as a neutral but because they were Aunt Ada's thoughts.
