Laughing at Intellectuals

I just love the way SG is lambasting the various intellectual movements out there. Psychology (especially Freudian) has been mentioned already, but her target is much broader I think.
Some of the comments she's made so far have been:
1. Mybug's: "Do you believe women have souls?"
2. The response "well" on p. 101 indicated to Flora a gambit used by intellectuals who decided to fall in love with her.
3. The titles of books were more important than their content. (p. 104)
4. That no intelligent person in Europe today believes Emily Bronte wrote WH. p.105
