I'm pretty sure she did. It isn't in the OED. I think this is all part of the parody--the books of rustic life would have used flower names, tool names, and so on that were unfamiliar to the readers. SG is having us on, and what a good time I'm having figuring out what's bologna and what isn't--so to speak! ;)
