Back to the Library ] In CCF, the heroine appears to have the author's approval for the way she interferes in other people's lives. JA, however, is ambivalent.

] All this is a bit tentative: thoughts, anyone?


I'm sure we'll be discussing Flora's motivations more next week. As I've been doing the reading, I have been thinking about Flora's motivations for interfering, as compared to meddling by Jane Austen's characters (such as Emma). Flora's motives aren't always the best, in my opinion. I can't wait until next week.
