] ] So the book is set smack bang in the middle of WW2! Such are the dangers of writing science fiction!
Without even mention of war! It makes me think of how I envision the future and how differently it may actually turn out.
In next week's reading, look for a brief mention of the unlikely "Anglo-Nicaraguan War of '46." Which proves it probably is supposed to take place later than WWII.
