How about Carraway and his son Harkaway?
Or Mark Dolour, whose surname means "sorrow or grief"?
Also, considering how many clever things are in this book I think there must be some reason why virtually all the Starkadder names are out of the Bible.
Seth, for example, was the son Adam and Eve had after Cain murdered Abel. A son of a couple that have been kicked out of the garden of Eden???
Also, not to get too religious, but Judith, in the Bible, marries Esau, the son of Isaac and Rebekah. In Genesis 26:34,35, it mentions that Esau and Judith were married, and then the next line is "They were a source of grief to Isaac and Rebekah. "
It all kind of ties in with the gloom and doom theme, I think.
