] I want to know more about Stella Gibbons. This book is sooooo unusual, I want to know what makes her tick? I can't find anything.
This is the entire entry in my Cambridge Biographical Encyclopedia
Gibbons, Stella (Dorthea) (1902-89) Writer, born in London. She worked as a journalist, and later began a series of successful novels, as well as writing poetry and short stories. Her Cold Comfort Farm (1933), a light-hearted satire on melodramatic rural novels, has established itself as a classic of parody.
