I love the movie and highly recommend it, but (this is the "don't hit me" part) I really did not like the book, which I have read twice (once long before I saw the movie and again this past winter, and I must say, I was disappointed both times and did not find it nearly as amusing as I had hoped).
I will now skulk away in shame to a dark corner, since I'm not doing the group read....
