Reading Schedule: what's next....

Back to the LibraryAs you know, we start our read of Cold Comfort Farm tomorrow.

At the conclusion of that read, I thought it would be fun, and part of our ongoing acquaintance with JA to read a selection of her juvenilia.

Rather than send you all off to the library or to Bookserve again, I have selected a group of works which are available online at the Jane Austen Information pages (thanks HC). Of course, if you want to buy a set of the juvenilia to complete your set of JA works, now might be a good time, and we will set up a link so you can do this through Bookserve.

I first considered that we should start at the beginning of Volume One of the juvenilia and work our way through ... but it is somewhat repetitive, so instead I plan to select a range of works from very short initial stories and plays, to one of the longer juvenile works. I will work up a schedule which will go up in the next couple of days - some of the works will be read over a couple of days rather than a week, as they are very short.

I thought we'd do three weeks of juvenilia.
