] I thought of this one, but since I haven't read it yet, I'm not sure whether it might more properly be considered a modern retelling? Does it just have parallels to the story, or does it pretty much follow the whole plotline, with some reversals of situation and character?
] Also, to answer my own question, I will add Kathleen Taylor books to the list, as her heroine Tory Bauer is a big JA fan, and another character Neil has cats called Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet.

Barbara, it's kind of a reversal/retelling, but there are also some differences. I think it belongs in this category.
