I thought of this one, but since I haven't read it yet, I'm not sure whether it might more properly be considered a modern retelling? Does it just have parallels to the story, or does it pretty much follow the whole plotline, with some reversals of situation and character?
Also, to answer my own question, I will add Kathleen Taylor books to the list, as her heroine Tory Bauer is a big JA fan, and another character Neil has cats called Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet.
