Back to the Library ] I think you would really enjoy David Nokes, A Life, if you have not already done so. It's not quite as flowery as Tomlin's but it does tell a "story" (which is what I think you found attractive in Tomlin's?) and it covers quite a bit of the family members, deeper than Tomlin did.

I am in the middle of this bio now and believe it to be a bit "darker" then Tomalin's; both bios give us a "story" based on facts......but, I am not complaining!
