The story about the elusive man that JA may or may not have met and liked at Lyme is fascinating. I wonder if they walked on the Cobb and discussed poetry?
It struck me that JA should choose all those years later to set a key section of Persuasion in Lyme. Did she have fond memories of it, do you think?
