In response to Genius is always lonely, written by Caroline on March 26, 1998 at 13:14:52

Back to the Library . The more intelligent you are, the less likely it is that you will have any kind of contact with someone who matches both your intelligence and your interests...it must be very lonely for the Einsteins of this world.Frustrating, too! And I think it's a general rule that people despise those less "intelligent" than themselves and fear those more intelligent, because unless minds meet as equals, you have an obligation/dependancy thing that gets in the way.

Isn't it funny though that the geniuses eventually get the adoration they deserve when they can't even appreciate it anymore. I often wonder whether I would have liked Jane as a person if she were living today. (I sometimes wonder whether she would have liked me, too.)
