I think most of us have read Jane's letters. And most of us have read a wealth of other biographies. I think most of us have read so many books on Jane Austen, not to mention of the period in which she lived, that Tomalin's book is merely a continuation of that trend. Many of us probably think that we know more than Tomalin and some of us might agree with everything she says. But I think most of us are merely hanging on to the cycle of information that we naturally feed upon and we know quite well where to put all of the excess.
Patricia being a little vague.
