I can't answer your question, but it reminds me that there is a novel about JA called "Jane Austen in Australia" which is based on the assumption that Aunt Jane LP is transported for her theft, and JA and Cassandra etc go with her to keep her company... it fills in those three "lost" years.
I have a copy... but it's in a box in aus....;-(
