] Tomalin has the least to say about this one. The narrator's voice is very strong and humorous. She states that in this it owes a debt to Tom Jones. I haven't read TJ, is it so?

Well, she couldn't just say it owes a debt to Anne Radcliffe, could she? ;-) I have never read TJ, well, not since I tried and failed at about age sixteen,so I guess that one will have to wait till after April 4, won't it?
(Hmm...TJ=Henry T?...somehow I don't think so....)
