Jane's letters

I had read the letter discussed in Chapter 11 several times and enjoyed getting all the background info on the details to which Jane refers. I wonder just how serious Jane's hopes were regarding Tom Lefroy, or if indeed she had any.

I also got to thinking about all those letters Cassandra destroyed. A part of me longs to see them and mourns their loss. Another part is glad that Cassandra protected Jane's privacy and reputation, for I am sure that Jane would not have wanted them seen.

What do you think? Do you want the missing letters or not?
