Nan, LOL...UGH indeed! There was a passage at the end of the novel that specifically mentioned the use of language and how this word was correct and that word was not yet in use. With all that said and done, I did find the language lacked Jane Austen's grace. Conversations were clusmy and sentences that should have been longer were abrupt and when you wished the Baders would shut up already they kept going and going.
The type style did not bother me, actually. I prefer cleaner copy than serif'ed text. Sorry! ;-(
