] Oh make it Jane Eyre please. I've been struggling through it for the past 3 weeks. I think I need to talk it out in a group as Bronte's style is so different to JA's. I'm ready anytime.
It`s such a rollercoaster of a novel. I read it the first time (in English, which is NOT my first language) in two days. The part I found most boring was the St John part, probably cause I felt like shooting him-heīs such a tyrant maniac. And the thought of poor Rochester left behind...
The school part is good, cause itīs great to see Jane win against all the obstacles. And it always moves me to hear Jane saying to Helen that if you let yourself be walked over, the bad people will always win. I heartily agree.
But NOTHING beats Rochester`s part. I still think Rochster says things to Jane that no other male character in Literature can beat. Their dialogues are beautiful, full of poetry... Rochester is the most romantic literary hero.
